Since 2006, MEMOIRE ET PATRIMOINE CHAUNOIS has dedicated itself to preserving and promoting the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Chaunois region. Through conferences, exhibitions, and educational initiatives, we foster regional pride and community engagement, ensuring that the area’s unique history remains vibrant and recognized for generations to come. 
Mémoire et Patrimoine Chaunois is a non-profit association (Loi 1901) dedicated to the preservation, safeguarding, and promotion of the historical memory and heritage of the Chaunois region. Established in January 2019, our organization serves as a bridge between the past and the future, ensuring that the unique identity of the Pays Chaunois is never forgotten.
We believe that heritage is not just about stones and monuments, but about the collective memory of the people who shaped our history.
Our Pillars of Cultural Action
Under our official mandate for the Management of Historical Sites and Monuments (NAF 91.03Z), we engage in several key activities to promote our regional history:

Heritage Safeguarding: We work to identify and protect local historical sites and artifacts that are at risk of being lost to time.

Historical Research & Archives: Our members actively document the “intangible” heritage of the region—oral histories, local traditions, and historical narratives.
